You know when you’ve got a few thousand dollars to spend on health insurance?
Well, that’s where Regence Telehealth gets it right.
Its health insurance is cheap, affordable, and the service it offers is pretty much universal.
The company offers free, confidential consultations with doctors, dentists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers.
“We don’t do referrals,” the company says.
“Our service is not designed to get you into a referral center.”
The site also has a dedicated online clinic for people with health issues, and there are free tests to take in case you need one.
But Regence isn’t trying to be a doctor’s office, and its insurance plan doesn’t offer a copay.
The only fee is the $15,000 annual deductible.
“That’s the one thing that people don’t realize,” said Sarah Rafferty, Regence’s vice president of sales and marketing.
“If you’re getting a $15k deductible, then you’re not really getting care.”
The company’s website is full of testimonials, and one person wrote, “If there is a problem, we are there to get to the root of it, not diagnose it.”
But for some, that can be a hard thing to do, and not just for people who have health issues.
“My main concern is for people that need insurance,” said Kristin McAlinden, a 28-year-old from New York. “

It’s a concern echoed by many other people I spoke with.
“A lot of people just don’t want to be treated by someone they know,” said Rachel Henningsen, 27, who lives in North Carolina and was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 17.
“When I get health care I’m like, What is the point?
I can’t be bothered with people.”
It can be difficult to find an affordable provider that will take on that burden.
A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that only 3 percent of Americans are eligible for Medicare.
It’s unclear how many people will find a provider that’s covered by that program, and that means people who need help with insurance may end up paying out of pocket.
And if you don’t get insurance, your doctor may not have the right to refer you for care, meaning you may be paying out-of-pocket for treatments you don�t need.
“The more expensive your insurance plan is, the more people who are uninsured, the less likely you are to have access to care,” said Michael DeStefano, a senior health policy analyst at the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
“There are a lot of other things that are going on that impact insurance rates, which means that people who aren’t eligible for insurance have to pay a higher premium, which can lead to people not being able to get the care they need.”
DeSteafano added that people with insurance can still have health problems.
“But the risk of getting a condition like COVID-19, for example, is pretty low,” he said.
“So if you are getting care, you’re just not going to have to worry about getting it.”
When it comes to the company’s insurance, it may seem like the insurance plan isn’t fair.
“For people who don’t need insurance, they can have the lowest rates out there, but that’s not necessarily fair,” DeSteffano said.
Regence does have an out-call fee, but it’s usually just $2.95.
The reason people are paying this much is because they’re going to a doctor, not a hospital, DeSteffeano explained.
“You don’t see them as having to get care when they’re not in the hospital,” he added.
“They’re not even going to the hospital.”
But the company does have some other incentives to try to help people.
One of the company�s perks is that it doesn�t require patients to be in the ER, and it doesn’t cover any hospitalization.
Regent also offers a $5,000 reward to people who can get a referral to a medical specialist who can help them manage a medical condition or cancer.
And, according to the site, the company is providing free screenings for people experiencing symptoms of COVID.
“In fact, they will send you a phone call,” the website reads.
